Who knew proofreading transcripts for court reporters could allow you to earn more money working for yourself than at a 9-5 job? Tiffany didn't, but now she's working part-time as a transcript proofreader and loving it.
Hi, my name is Tiffany, and I took Caitlin's proofreading for court reporters course, which it changed my life. I signed up because it was self-paced. I can make more money working for myself than what I was making at my 9-5 job, and I didn't need any special degrees, certifications, or qualifications to get started.
So the course was awesome. It was a wealth of resources that helps you brush up on your grammar skills and gives you practice transcripts, a ton of them to work on and help build your confidence for when you start working with real clients. So, you know, I finished the course. I started marketing, I got some clients and so far, I've been working for myself for three-and-a-half years proofreading. And the course has changed my life because it gave me the confidence in knowing that I could sustain myself with my own skills; I can learn new skills. You know, I went from a person who thought that I had no skills, no prospects, and I didn't go to college.
And I just -- I didn't think that I could learn anything without going to college. You know, so when I found this course, it just changed my life to know that I could learn skills and help other people. And then I can make money from doing that, that I just didn't have to just go the traditional route of going to college, which to me, I loved because that -- it just gave me so much freedom in my life because now I proofread part-time, and I do other things that I love with the rest of my time, and it has just been invaluable to me. So I loved this course, taking this course, and I wish I would've done it sooner, but who knew?
