Elle is tired of working in an office for someone else, performing tasks she doesn't enjoy. She discovered Proofread Anywhere and is excited to start her future business!

Hi, my name is Elle Al-Ajmi and I am on level three of the proofread transcript course. And I'm currently sitting in my very small office at work just doing the mundane things that come with being a recent college grad during a pandemic. So my cousin, she did proofread anywhere, and she gave me advice on where to start, where to look, how to do research. And I did the 70 minute talk about general proofreading, and then I decided that I think transcript proofreading was a good place for me to start. So I started there and after the first module, I felt pretty confident. And during the second one, learning about grammar and comma rules and hyphens, I was like, this is absolutely fabulous. I love it. This is exactly what I want to do. So I passed my wordsmiths test and now I'm on module three and I'm learning all of the nitty-gritty details.

And I'm very excited because my goal is to start my own transcripting business and make enough money that I don't have to work at a job in a law firm when I don't even want to work in law and I don't really like it, but I'm just waiting and patiently going through my course so that I can have a career that I can have control over and something that'll bring in income while I, as a 22 year old who has no idea what she wants to do for the long-term, can figure out if this is where I want to go, or if maybe I want to work for the State Department or other companies, but I know that I'll always have transcript proofreading to fall back on, and I could not be more excited to have a level of control over my future that during this time is very difficult to find. So I am hoping that I can pass all my tests and that I'll be able to have my own proofreading business by the new year so that I can start 2021 off a little more positive than 2020 has been.
