Hi, my name is Rachel Durant and I'm from Auburn, California. I started Proofread Anywhere, I was looking for flexible work-from-home options, but wasn't impressed by what I was finding available. My first impression of Proofread Anywhere was that it was too good to be true. One of my initial concerns was that I wouldn't be good at it, or I would fail. One thing that has resonated with me is how the course truly builds upon itself, starting with theory and gradually making its way into the practice portion. I'm currently halfway through the practice transcript portion of the transcript course, and I'm really enjoying it. And I'm seeing an improvement in my own skill and my confidence level towards this type of assignment.

Since starting the transcript proofreading course in August, I've found my confidence building in the knowledge base of proofreading, and I've even seen an increase in my own confidence spilling into other areas of my life. If you would've told me eight years ago that I could be pursuing my side hobby of proofreading for classmates and transformed it into a small business, I wouldn't have believed you. I would recommend Proofread Anywhere because if a busy mom of four can be confident in making it work, then so can you.
